“Revival Of Hope”

Romans 15:13  (Church Bible page 1125)

Listen now

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power

of the Holy Spirit.”

1.  Hope is rooted in God’s nature.

May the God of hope…”v.13

2.  Hope sloshes over on us when we are in close proximity with God.

“…so that you may…hope…”  v.13

3.  There are hope-killing hindrances that crowd into our lives.

“…fill you with all joy and peace…”  v.13

Anything that steals our joy will kill our hope.

Anything that steals our peace will kill our hope.

 4.  Hope-killing forces reveal underlying unbelief.

“…as you trust in Him…”  v.13

5.  When we truly trust in God, it is normal to experience an overflow of hope.

“…so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit…”  v.13

          We become prisoners of hope

          True hope never disappoints us.

“…and hope does not disappoint us.”  Romans 5:5

“No one whose hope is in You (Lord) will ever be put to shame.”  Psalm 25:3a

As we encounter the manifest presence of Christ, we will overflow with hope.

“Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27b

Hope is a force to be reckoned with.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength…”  Isaiah 40:31
